Global Diaspora Registry

Akwaaba. Connecting Our Roots

Welcome home to Asante Akyem Praso

No matter how far across the globe our journeys take us, our hearts always belong to the sacred lands of Asante Akyem Praso. The strength of our homeland does not just rest within our borders — it lives in you, our vibrant global family.

Under the leadership of Nana Amanoni Hene I (Chief of Foreign Lands), we are creating a dedicated space for all citizens living abroad to unite, share ideas, and pour love back into the communities that raised us.

Our Mission

The Office of Nana Amanoni Hene I represents the Praso people in the diaspora. Our foundational mandate is to serve as a vital bridge between the people in the diaspora and Praso towards holistic development. Safely chosen and nominated by Queen Mother Nana Akosua Aso, and traditionally enstooled through sacred rites led and ratified by Nana Agyekumhene III, our mission is to organize, govern, and unite our global citizens. By expanding agricultural framework, educational resources, economic development/growth, investments, innovation technology and strategic land management, we empower our global community to actively strengthen, enrich, and build a lasting legacy in the Praso region.

Welcome Letter
Official Seal of Nana Amanoni Hene I — Diaspora Chief

Nana Amanoni Hene I

Dear Citizen of the Diaspora,

Greetings in the name of the ancestors, the elders, and the sovereign stool of our homeland. As the pioneer Diaspora Chief (Amanonihene) of the Asante-Akyem Praso Traditional Jurisdiction, it is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to our unified global network.

My historic path to this ancestral stool was set in motion by the foundational authority of Queen Mother Nana Akosua Aso, who safely chose and nominated me, and formally executed through sacred rites led and ratified by Nana Agyekumhene III, Chief of Asante-Akyem Praso.

This Office was established to serve as the definitive cultural, diplomatic, and economic bridge between you—our global diaspora family—and our ancestral homelands. Our mission is clear: to organize, govern, and unite citizens living abroad. We are strictly dedicated to driving holistic socio-economic development, protecting ancestral lands, and fostering agricultural and educational advancement across the entire Praso Traditional Area.

By registering with this platform, you are transforming your connection to the homeland from a distant memory into an active, generational legacy. Your unique professional skills, resources, and insights are vital to our core pillars:

  • Sustainable Agriculture: Building food security and economic independence through modern farming initiatives.
  • Educational Advancement: Equipping our youth with modern technology, innovation hubs, and robust mentorship.
  • Strategic Land Management: Securing transparent, certified residential and commercial land allocations for diaspora repatriation and investment.

You are no longer an observer abroad; you are a builder of our future. Together, under the guidance of our traditional leadership court, we will build a lasting legacy that strengthens and enriches the Praso region.

Welcome home.

Signed,

His Royal Highness, Nana Amanoni Hene I

Diaspora Chief of the Asante-Akyem Praso Traditional Jurisdiction
